When it comes to drones, DJI’s past few models have suggested that the distance between the Shenzhen-based gadgeteers and their competition is growing wider and wider. The high-end manufacturer has its sights set on expanding this gap even further with the reveal of its Matrice 30 Enterprise, a drone built to take on nearly anything.

Available in 2 distinct options, the M30 and M30T, DJI’s latest release boasts an IP55 protection rating, deeming it usable in harsh conditions like heavy rainfall, gusty winds, and even in snowy scenarios or extreme temperatures ranging between -4° to 122° F. While its weatherized makeup is impressive and convenient, the meat and potatoes of the drone’s capabilities lie within its incredible capturing prowess. The surprisingly lightweight Matrice M30 is equipped with a 48-megapixel, half-inch CMOS sensor zoom camera with 8K photo resolution, while the M30T ups the ante a bit with its added 640×512 pixel radiometric thermal camera. Lastly, the M30 offers users 41 minutes of flight time.

In addition to this powerful, professionally-geared gadget, DJI has revamped a handful of other elements across the board. Starting with its FlightHub2 management software, which looks to enable incredible new mapping features like One-Tap Panorama Sync, capable of capturing a 360-degree view and uploading it directly to the cloud. On top of this new tech, the IP54-rated DJI RC Plus is set to serve as the techies’ latest remote controller, highlighted by a crisp 7″ display and 6 hours of screen time. Rounding out this quartet of announcements is the DJI Dock, a unique, IP55-rated autonomous takeoff, landing, and charging station that paves the way for automated missions.

The core package for the M30 and M30T is priced at $9,999 and $13,999, respectively. As far as the other elements are concerned, the Dock is set to hit the market sometime in Q4, while FlightHub 2 will hit the scene this Halloween. You can take a deeper look at this bevy of new offerings on DJI’s site.
