Based in China, CFMoto is a motorcycle and powersports company that in recent years has been making a shift to tap into a more premium segment. And though the firm has already unveiled some impressive models, none of them have managed to capture our attention quite like CFMoto’s all-new SR-C21 Vision Concept.
Penned by CFMoto’s European design team in Italy’s “Motor Valley,” the SR-C21 concept is a thoroughly cutting-edge superbike draped in an ultra-sleek set of bodywork that includes forged carbon fiber trim and aerodynamic winglets, as well as built-in frame sliders and integrated LED lighting front and back. The running gear on the conceptual superbike is all of the top-shelf variety, consisting of Brembo Stylema brakes fortified beneath forged carbon disc covers, GP-spec Öhlins suspension fore and aft, custom CFMoto rear-sets, forged six-spoke wheels shod in track-grade Pirelli Supercorsa rubber, a single-sided swing-arm, a TFT display, and a MotoGP-style exhaust system terminating in a pair of under-tail SC-Project cans. CFMoto has also previously called on KTM — in which it owns a majority stake — to utilize some of the Ready To Race brand’s powertrains on previous models, so there’s a very real chance that should the concept see the light of production, it very well may be kicked along by one of the Austrian outfit’s engines.
Thus far, CFMoto has yet to reveal any plans of putting the concept into production, though at the very least the project would suggest the company is looking to take things in an even more high-performance direction. We also anticipate additional info trickling out on the superbike concept come this year’s EICMA event in November.
