Canada Goose Goes Sustainable with the HUMANATURE Capsule

Canada Goose is synonymous with warmth, as its luxurious winter coats have become a mainstay in outerwear. Previously, the brand had mentioned that it’s seeking to literally shed its fur by the end of 2022, proving to be a major step forward in cruelty-free fashion. While we’re still a little ways away from that event, the Toronto-based clothiers’ new HUMANATURE collection looks to provide an entirely sustainable set of garments to further cement the brand’s more eco-conscious new identity.

Exuding nature in every sense, right down to the capsule’s namesake, Canada Goose’s new collection sticks to its roots of innovative comfort while making a positive impact on the planet. Through the brand’s gradual transition to crafting its catalog from “Preferred Fibers and Materials,” its new announcement serves as Canada Goose’s largest array of sustainable clothing yet. The collection features the Ryker Overcoat and Nairo Puffer, a pair of pieces crafted from entirely recycled nylon. The former is lined with cashmere and is bolstered by its removable belt and hood, while the latter boasts a pair of the brand’s trademark Power Stretch cuffs. The HUMANATURE collection is rounded out with the brand’s renowned Standard Expedition Parka, which is crafted from recycled and organic Artic Tech fabric and insulated with responsibly-sourced down. Each of the pieces in the collection is delivered in a monochromatic, undyed colorway labeled ‘Griege,’ which only assists in their newly-executed green take. As a result of leaving these sleek garments as is, Canada Goose has eliminated any water waste or use of chemicals that are necessary to perform the dying process.

Although the brand may be heading for greener pastures, these sleek coats are still built for the snow. Currently available through Canada Goose’s site, the coats in the HUMANATURE Collection range in price from $1,695 to $2,195.

Purchase: $1,695+
