Though cotton was once king, the modern era has increasingly embraced garments that are crafted from more advanced materials with superior properties. In addition to being more comfortable, these materials also afford markedly better performance and are far more durable than traditional clothing items — all without compromising on style. And it’s this principle that’s guided Relwen since its launch in 2007 and allowed it to deliver more high-end and high-performance takes on wardrobe staples such as the Ohio outfit’s new Air-Stretch Hybrid Windshort.
As one would expect from Relwen, the Air-Stretch Hybrid Windshort is made from an advanced construction — in this case, a breathable, water-resistant, windproof stretch shell that’s composed of a spandex-infused nylon blend and paired with a full-length poly-mesh lining. Cut with an athletic 7” length, the shorts also boast an elasticized drawstring-secured waist and an attractive matte finish.
In typical Relwen fashion, these shorts are also manufactured with an exacting level of attention to detail and have been outfitted with numerous subtle yet premium touches such as drawstring bows, IDEAL flay-lay zippers, Relwen’s signature flying bird logo patch, front hand pockets with a stitch-through construction, and a zipper-secured rear welt pocket — the latter two of which use an anchored design that prevents the pockets from bunching up, even when empty. The Air-Stretch Hybrid Windshort is produced in five matte color options — including a Cardinal Red colorway that’s being offered exclusively through Huckberry.
The Relwen Air-Stretch Hybrid Windshort 7” is available now at Huckberry with pricing set at $148. Relwen also produces a matching Air-Stretch Windpant that’s crafted from the same advanced construction and is available on Huckberry for $148.
