This Massive Collection Features Scripts and Production Notes from James Bond’s Film History

There may never be another icon of cinema bigger than James Bond. Adapted from the book series by Ian Fleming, the Eon franchise is now 25 movies deep and counting — and that’s not including the non-canonical entries such as 1967’s Casino Royale and ‘83’s Never Say Never Again. In total, seven actors have played agent 007, with fans waiting with bated breath for the newest iteration to grab the torch from Daniel Craig who completed his own 5-movie run in 2021.

Now, Peter Harrington, a literary house in London, is selling a fantastically large collection of material from James Bond’s history in film. 119 items are being offered as a single collection, including production screenplays and script drafts — some of which are autographed — storyboard images, costume sketches, production notes, and other material ranging from 007’s cinematic debut in 1962’s Dr. No through Spectre in 2015.

Some of the most notable items are a first-draft screenplay from Dr. No, a script from the abandoned Thunderball remake entitled Warhead that’s signed by Sean Connery, an early screenplay from Tomorrow Never Dies signed by Pierce Brosnan, and several pieces from Fleming’s own personal archives. Also worth mentioning is a unique piece of production art depicting an underground chamber at the Statue of Liberty that would have also been used for the Warhead project.
