Football season is so close that the league’s most dedicated fans can’t stop talking about it. Today, the NFL has unveiled its new streaming service to push the conversation forward even more. NFL Plus is a mobile-specific service that guarantees you won’t miss any big game action when you aren’t in front of a TV.
NFL Plus is only compatible with phones and tablets, so you’ll still need to look elsewhere to watch games on the big screen. But if games-on-the-go is what you have in mind, then NFL Plus couldn’t be better. The new subscription service is available in two tiers: Plus and Plus Premium. The latter grants extra features, including access to ad-free full-game replays and coaches’ films, but it doesn’t give access to any additional live games.
As far as what games are available, NFL Plus offers live streaming of out-of-market preseason games, prime time games, and local regular season and postseason games. You can also tune in to the NFL’s library of shows, like Hard Knocks, NFL 360, and America’s Game; an ongoing 55-episode series dedicated to each Super Bowl. This mobile-centric service has been in the rumor mill dating back to the end of this past season, and we can only hope it causes a major shift in accessibility through the world of sports streaming.
You can subscribe to NFL Plus for a minimum monthly rate of $5 or an annual rate of $30 for a 50% discount. All new users will receive a free 7-day trial, too. Take a deeper look at the service’s details on the NFL Plus website.
