Launched in 1974, Kershaw has specialized in making high-end American knives for a fair price, crafting not only quality blades but delivering an aesthetic that makes you want to show them off as well. With the release of the new Noventa, the Oregon-based knifemaker has made arguably its most stylish yet.
Paying homage to the Art Deco movement from the early 20th century, Kershaw has outfitted the Noventa with a beautiful stamped steel handle with period-inspired grooves. Coated with black oxide and then stonewashed afterward, the handle evokes class without needing to be garish. Likewise, the 3.3” two-tone blade is made from tough D2 steel that’s been either black oxide finished or satin finished to create an attractive contrast.
The Noventa opens easily thanks to its KVT ball-bearing system, and keeps closed with a sturdy frame lock. Unique to this knife, the flipper itself has a “hidden” design that disappears when open. When closed, it allows you to pull it back like a standard flipper or roll your thumb over it as though it were a front flipper.
Built with a deep carry pocket clip that can be easily adjusted for ambidextrous carry, the Noventa is now available on Kershaw’s website for $80.
