Alabama-based clothing designer and his namesake brand Billy Reid have spent the last couple of decades perfecting the art of menswear. Rather than inundating the market with a large collection of similar, if not adjacent, products, the company takes time and thought to meticulously develop its releases, which are meant to be impervious to passing fads, ensuring these pieces can remain in your closet for years to come.
Cut from the same cloth (so to speak), Huckberry is also in the business of curation. The online retailer sources the finest in clothes, gear, and household goods based on careful deliberation rather than mass hoarding. After carrying the clothing brand’s button-ups, sweaters, pants, and polos for some time, Huckberry has collaborated with Billy Reid for an exclusive version of the label’s popular Dover Hoodie. A new take on the ever-popular silhouette, this new sweatshirt is made to be equally as timeless.
Built from 100% terry cotton, the main body of the throw-over is fairly streamlined, save for the herringbone twill detailing, the guards at the tops of the drawstrings, and the distressed brown patches at the elbows, which are made from 100% cow leather and give this classic design a slightly elevated and vintage aesthetic. Furthering the traditional design are the ribbed cuffs and hems and the piping on the armholes.
You can grab yourself the Huckberry version of the Billy Reid Dover Sweatshirt in your choice of two colorways, dark blue or gray, exclusively at Huckberry for $248.
