GiantMouse’s ACE Grand Knives Are Built with Insanely Comfortable Handles

Presented by

After struggling to find adequate options themselves, Danish knife experts Jens Ansø and Jesper Voxnaes joined forces with American entrepreneur Jim Wirth to form GiantMouse back in 2015. Since then, the boutique brand, now located in Michigan, has churned out incredible designs to fit a modern market, but with traditional know-how, superb quality control, and unbelievably reasonable price points.

Of its EDC knives, the ACE is GiantMouse’s flagship line of versatile slip joints. The ACE Grand models are the largest in size at 8” in length, with a 4.625” handle length and a blade that extends 3.375”. Coming in four comfortable handle variants, all available through BladeHQ, the ACE Grand sports a clip-point blade made from premium ELMAX steel and can be deployed with an ambidextrous thumb hole. A reversible wire clip allows for deep carry of the knife in either pocket.

For the sculpted Green Canvas Micarta handle and the Orange G-10 scales, the blades have been given a stonewashed finish. On the other hand, the Natural Canvas Micarta handle sports a satin-finished blade. A Red Canvas Micarta variant is also coming to the collection soon and will feature a black stonewashed blade with Bohler M390 steel and adds a liner lock for extra security.

Large and robust, GiantMouse’s ACE Grand knives are among the best EDC options out there from a brand with incredibly high standards. As for the Green Micarta, Red Micarta, and Orange G-10 knives, they’re currently available on BladeHQ for $195, whereas the Red Canvas liner-locking version will be coming soon at a $240 price point.
