There’s tough and then there’s G-SHOCK tough. For almost 40 years, the Japanese watchmaker has been making rugged and functional timepieces that can handle practically anything thrown at them. Never the company to sit on its laurels, G-SHOCK has created a new line of its toughest collection of watches yet: the MUDMASTER GWG2000.
To make the GWG2000 collection, G-SHOCK took the dust- and mud-resistant structure of the MUDMASTER series and added a forged carbon bezel and Carbon Core Guard structure to make the watch smaller and lighter. Offering strength, lightness, and excellent durability, the carbon fiber-reinforced resin case protects the module, while the forged carbon bezel allows the GWG2000 to maintain its strength and durability at a smaller size. The GWG2000 also features advanced technologies including solar-powered radio control and triple sensor technology, which includes an altimeter, barometer/thermometer, and a digital compass to support all of your exploratory needs.
Engineered to survive in all kinds of conditions, the GWG2000 sports stainless steel button pipes and a silicone buffer material to make the watch resistant to both sand and mud; and of course, water won’t be of much concern either with a full 200m water resistance on board. Add in the GWG2000’s full-auto LED backlight super illuminator for enhanced readability in dark conditions, and you have a watch that’s ready for any mission. The G-SHOCK GWG2000 retails for $800 and is available from the brand’s website.
