Getting its color from basalt rock, black sand is the result of volcanic activity in locales such as Hawaii, where hot lava in the ocean hardens and shatters because of the rapid cooling from the water. Oftentimes, beaches can become black sand beaches overnight as these fragments collect on the shore. This EDC is inspired by the beautiful natural phenomenon, utilizing black colorways with textured surfaces.

Water resistant up to 300m thanks to the helium escape valve, the 43.5mm case is made of ceramic — as is the dial, crown, and bezel — and houses the brand’s striking Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806 automatic movement that’s visible through the sapphire crystal caseback. The dial itself sports PVD indices and skeleton hands, which are given anthracite Super-LumiNova.
