Ariat’s Goodyear Welt-Constructed Boots Are Made for Serious Work

Presented by

Needing to be able to survive the prolonged abuses and rigors that stem from manual labor on a job site, quality workwear is engineered to stand up to years of hard daily use, fortifying its wearer from abrasions and the elements without overly restricting movement or mobility. And while this is admittedly a tough balancing act to pull off, the crew over at Ariat have been doing exactly that for nearly 30 years, taking know-how hard-earned from decades on job sites to deliver some of the most trusted workwear items on the planet.

This includes the company’s tried-and-true Rebar Wedge, an ultra-tough 6” workboot that was designed specifically for laborers that spend all day on their feet. As such, the Rebar Wedge features a set of premium, unlined, full-grain leather uppers that are mated to a pair of slip and oil-resistant blown rubber outsoles applied using hardwearing Goodyear welt construction. Comfort has also been maximized through the use of Ariat’s proprietary 4LR (Four Layer Rebound) cushioning that comprises the boot’s footbed, while further fortification is afforded via an ASTM 2892-11 EH-rated soft toe. The design also includes the namesake wedge sole that enables the work boot to be devoid of a defined heel, bolstering stability and comfort across a variety of terrains and conditions.

Available now, the Ariat Rebar Wedge 6″ Work Boot starts from $145 and is also offered in several color options, as well as in a fully-waterproof variant. Ariat also produces Moc Toe and Pull-On boots — including waterproof versions of both — constructed on the same proven Rebar Wedge platform.
