Based on the coast of Central California, Aerocrafted is a boutique aviation-inspired EDC brand that’s comprised of a group of aerospace engineers, fabricators, and pilots — all of whom collectively lend their expertise to design and develop simple, yet immensely durable and utilitarian pieces of gear, such as the fledgling firm’s Sideslip Titanium Utility Knife.
A thoroughly modern and premium take on a traditional utility blade, Aerocrafted’s Sideslip is constructed around a skeleton chassis that’s crafted from aerospace-grade grade 5 titanium alloy. What’s more, this titanium frame — which consists of only two interlocking parts and is completely devoid of any fasteners or other mechanisms — also sports a special integrated edge-saver guard that protects the blade when not in use, as well as an idiosyncratic quick-change blade system that doesn’t require the use of any tools. Bestowed with a tumbled finish, the Ti-6Al-4V frame also comes paired with a low-friction bronze slider that will develop a unique patina over time with regular use. The Sideslip Utility Knife also features a key ring, along with a pocket clip that’s been integrated into the frame, affording several different carrying options while also guaranteeing a stronger and more durable item thanks to the minimal number of components and frame-integrated construction.
Made in America, the Aerocrafted Sideslip Titanium Utility Knife is available in left and right-hand versions and is currently being sold through our pals over at Huckberry, with pricing set at just $98.
