At first glance, the adidas Terrex Free Hiker 2 GORE-TEX shoe looks like it might belong within the brand’s range of athletic footwear — and there’s no doubt that adidas’ training expertise came into play as inspiration. However, the Free Hiker is meant for the outdoors through and through, combining the support of a boot with the versatile capabilities of a shoe. Returning to the silhouette is the GORE-TEX lining on the exterior, BOOST midsole cushioning for maximum comfort and energy return, and the Continental outsole for unbelievable traction on any terrain, providing you with peace of mind out on the trails.
The new shoe gets a bump in abrasion resistance with an enhanced upper — made from at least 50% recycled materials — that sports an extended heel clip and molded toe cap for added protection. Available in black, olive, and steel blue colorways, the Free Hiker 2 comes equipped with lace closure and a slightly revamped EVA stabilization frame.
