Zerobody Anti-Gravity Bed
Float chambers have grown in popularity over the past five to ten years in the U.S. Folks say that closing themselves in the chambers and floating in room-temperature water gives a kind of otherworldly sensation somewhere between being awake and asleep. The Zerobody aims at providings= a similarly relaxing sensation without all the wet stuff. Or, well, at least without getting you wet.
With a setup akin to a half-full heated waterbed, the bed gives users the feeling that they are floating in midair. The result of a collaboration between the spa company Starpool, a brain research group Neocogita, and designer Christiano Mino, the Zerobody bed is built to interact with an app that provides six different audio guided meditation sessions designed on doing everything from honing your focus to totally relaxing you. These meditations are far from new-age mumbo-jumbo, they’re based on a specific neuroscientific approach. There are no details on whether you can purchase one yourself – but they are sure to be at Starpool spas around the world in short time.
