Land Rover’s Defender stands as one of the most iconic classic off-road vehicles of all time, with vintage models consistently commanding steep prices and the upcoming generation drumming up a tremendous amount of hype. To pay homage to the legendary Rover and to celebrate the forthcoming release of the next generation of Defenders, luxury Swiss watch outfit, Zenith has just announced a special, limited edition run of its DEFY chronograph.
Limited to just 250 units, the DEFY El Primero 21 Land Rover features a 44mm titanium case in a micro-blasted finish. A dial with a slate grey velvet finish is paired with a Special Defender grey rubber strap secured via a micro-blasted, double-folding titanium clasp. Low profile chronograph buttons are complemented by a conical crown decorated with an orange accent stripe. At the heart of the new Rover-inspired timepiece is an El Primero 9004 automatic 1/100th of a second chronograph movement. Water-resistant to 100M, the Swiss movement relies on over 50 jewels and is comprised of a total of 293-components. The limited-edition titanium watch also offers a power reserve of a minimum of 50 hours, as well as a special linear power reserve indicator. The Zenith DEFY El Primero 21 Land Rover is currently available for $13,400.
