Yamaha XSR700 ‘Chronos Joyride’

It feels very much like the Twilight Zone to say that a wristwatch brand is responsible for commissioning some of the coolest custom bikes we’ve seen recently. But that’s exactly the case. Especially thanks to this Yamaha XSR700 called ‘Chronos’ Joyride’ – which was built by Ironwood Custom Motorcycles as another entry in Dutch brand TW Steel’s ‘Son of Time’ motorcycle series.

If you recall, TW Steel is the company that hired Diamond Atelier to build their Yamaha XSR900 ‘Aeon.’ Now, they’ve called upon Arjan van den Boom and his crew at IWC to transform another XSR into what you see before you. While similarly aggressive and beautiful, this bike is clearly a very different beast. It features a Grey Pearl paint job (originally created for Lamborghini) paired with two red Kineo wheels, a lowered Yamaha MT-10 USD front fork, a new Öhlins rear shock, and a lowered fuel tank – amongst several other custom bits. All in all, this is a bike that both clearly exhibits cues that distinctly mark an IWC build while standing alone as a unique example of one-off collaborative genius. Bravo.
