We’re up to our ears in custom retro Yamahas, and even Yamaha knows their bikes have an appeal to those old at heart (as they’ve shown with their new XSR700). But we’ll never get tired of admiring them, so behold the Nozem XS850 Custom.
Nozem has taken the rather large motorcycle and dismantled it, cutting off the entire back end. Now, the bike sports a new Ducati-style subframe. The forks were also taken apart and re-gutted before being reattached to the frame. The brakes have been upgraded to golden Brembos, and the headlight has been replaced with a yellow Cibie lens to match. It sports a huge custom air filter that protects the pistons, with a beautifully designed stainless steel exhaust system that was clearly a custom job. The motorcycle now has a retro paint job inspired by JPS Lotus Formula 1 Cars from the 1970s thanks to a high-end paint shop in Amsterdam.
