As far as blank canvases are concerned, the Yamaha SR500 serves itself up on a platter for creative minds. From jetting around on the race track to slinging mud on those wetter than normal off-road trails, the SR500 is both malleable and open to change. Auto Fabrica understands this notion, so they’ve worked to create this sleek and clean ‘60s scrambler-influenced ride. Sure is pretty don’t you think?
Boasting custom aluminum bodywork handmade in their workshop, this ride is both design-forward and ready to tackle any dirt track. Of course what draws our eyes inward here is the exhaust that does an atypical upsweep as opposed to the more common downward swoop, allowing the bike to handle off-road conditions with ease. They also split the tank to prevent the fuel from overheating from the pipe, and the exposed aluminum surface serves as a knee guard for the exhaust. The forks were also reworked, all-black shocks from Hagon were thrown into the mix, a new carb was outfitted on the bike, and a fresh clutch was installed to keep maintenance low for years to come. Clean, powerful, and balanced. Auto Fabrica strikes again. [H/T: BikeExif]
