Yamaha Scorpio by Thrive Motorcycle
It’s not everyday that we’re shown a truly special motorcycle design. No — in a seemingly endless sea of Ninja clones and old school reduxes, the motorcycle landscape doesn’t veer too far into the land of the unique. Now, Thrive Motorcycles has designed what they’re calling the “Cross,” a bike with a creative form unlike anything we’ve ever seen on two wheels.
At first glance, the motorcycle looks like something you’d see in the LEGO: Jurassic World video game. But, we have to commend Thrive’s interesting vision that is sure to bring about polarizing views because of just how unique the motorcycle is. It’s main material is sheet aluminum, which allows for it to be lightweight while still achieving the overall “grey” look the designers were going after. What’s more, Thrive threw on a new Rental Fatbar handlebar, adding a custom clutch and brake lever, as well as custom dashboard indicators and a phone mount. This is one frankencycle we just had to share.
