Yamaha Runway 04Gen Scooter

Hold on to your artistic hats, Yamaha just released the fourth version of their concept Gen series. Called the Runway, this scooter was designed in the image of a woman, with soft curves and an exterior structure engineered to display the scooter’s wonderful internal elements. And based on these renderings, we certainly hope this model comes to fruition in the not-too-distant future.

The overall structure boasts long, low and smoothed edges and, according to Yamaha, “modeled after the motif of a swan.” The goal here was to marry both interior and exterior appearance to a fine aesthetic. This becomes even more apparent once you get a look at the pivoting side panels that open like an insect’s wings, displaying the inner workings of the scooter. The seat is authentic leather and the body features semi-transparent resin adding class to the Yamaha’s innovative appearance. No word on pricing yet as this piece is still in a conceptual phase but hands will certainly be all over this item once it hits market down the road.
