Yard Built Yamaha XRS700 by Bunker Custom Cycles
Leave it to two brothers from Turkey to completely trick out a Yamaha XRS700 for Yamaha’s Yard Built projects. Istanbul-based Uzer brothers from Bunker Custom Cycles (a new member of the Yamaha Yard Built family) certainly have the talent for smooth styling. Can Uzer is a top skater with the Vans Turkey skateboarding team, and brother Mert was involved in digital advertising before crossing over to bike building.
Their backgrounds and interest in bike building really show with the final product. The Uzer brothers went for the Tracker style to capture their own free spirits. Also, the Yamaha’s twin motor provided them with the right foundation for building something light and agile. Perfect for freedom of the open road. First, they added Super Tenere that enhances the front wheel up to 19 inches. The shoes on this bike are Goldentyre GT201 rubber increasing all-around use. There’s also the upside-down forks taken from an MT-09 Tracer, Renthal bars with grips from Biltwell Inc and a speedo taken from an FZ-07 that sits atop the bar clamps. A new suede seat classes up the bike along with a new fuel tank covers, side panels, fenders, radiator covers and seat plate. All custom-made with 2-mil aluminum pieces. It’s all wrapped in an eye-catching, 80s-inspired package that’s sure to have the streets of Istanbul gawking.
