XTND AI Electric Longboard
In accordance with urban commuting – as a means to avoid the hair-pulling stress of sitting in traffic – European startup XTND has just launched their Kickstarter campaign for the world’s first electric longboard skateboard powered by artificial intelligence. What does AI have to do with longboarding you make ask, well further explanation reveals a unique riding experience only the XTND Board can provide.
Basically, the XTND board boasts software that collects data about the way you ride. From here it evaluates your riding style, strengths, and weaknesses and adapts accordingly. That means no matter what skill level you may find yourself, the XTND will teach you to ride properly and help you improve your style as you progress. It will also optimize your route based on patterns, boasts integrated lights that automatically switch on come nighttime, and only moves when you want it to. XTND also hit it out of the park with the board’s construction materials as well – featuring a carbon deck, carbon trucks, titanium build, and a space-grade foam. The board is also lightweight, clocks in a top speed of 28 mph, a range of 12.5 miles, is waterproof, substitutes grip tape for a commuter-friendly non-slip material, and houses a swappable battery that charges itself when cruising downhill or braking. Currently available for reservation on Kickstarter.
