Woodsman Axe Coffee Table

Using axes as legs on a wooden table is some kind of magical Bunyanesque synergy that we can’t even begin to understand. But lo and behold, this is what we’re looking at here, and we like it a lot.

Actually, the Woodsman Axe Coffee Table is said to be based on the Brothers Grimm fairy tale, “Little Red Riding Hood,” but somehow we don’t see this winner of the Peta Levi Memorial Bursary 2010 residing in your daughter’s playroom. No, this unique piece of furniture seems destined for the lodge. Don’t have a lodge? Build one, damn it. It’s made from solid oak, light walnut or ash, and it’s finished with four hickory axes that come to Duffy London from the US. [Purchase]
