Old Rip Van Winkle & Wolverine Partner For A Bourbon-Inspired Limited Edition Boot

While Wolverine is certainly no stranger to footwear collaborations, the Rockford firm’s most recent joint-effort is arguably its most noteworthy to date, with Wolverine linking up with Kentucky’s renowned Old Rip Van Winkle Bourbon to deliver a limited edition boot that to raise money for charity.

Christened the “Old Rip x 1000 Mile” boot, this all American piece of footwear is made entirely by hand in America in small batches. Built atop heels that are crafted from genuine repurposed, custom-cut bourbon barrels, the Old Rip x 1000 Mile features whiskey-colored Horween Chromexcel leather uppers, Vibram outsoles, Goodyear welt construction, a double-needle stitched toe cap, waxed cotton laces, and an individually hand-numbered textile tag. Decorated with subtle gold accents and eyelets, this Wolverine offering is sold in a special red boot bag. The entirety of the proceeds from these limited edition brown leather boots is being donated to the mikeroweWORKS scholarship foundation, which funds training for trade school programs. The Wolverine x Old Rip Van Winkle 1000 Mile Boot is available now in limited numbers, with pricing set at $400.
