Over the years, Wolverine has had its hand in no shortage of collaborative footwear projects, coming together with a wide range of brands, celebrities, and charity organizations like mikeroweWorks, Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery, and even Metallica. And while each partnership has resulted in a unique take on the time-tested 1000 Mile Boot, none of them embody the American spirit quite like the Michigan-based bootmaker’s latest effort.
That’s because Wolverine has teamed up with Rawlings on a limited-run 1000 Mile Boot celebrating Father’s Day. In practice, this means that they’ve been crafted from the same Chicago-sourced Horween leather that’s used to make Heart of the Hide baseball gloves. And the outfield influences don’t stop there — each pair of boots also features some tongue-stitched Rawlings logo tags, hand-numbering like the mitts, as well as a commemorative co-branded leather fob. Oh, and like all Wolverine 1000 Mile Boots, they’re packed with other premium details, including a leather outsole, a Vibram heel, as well as a hard-wearing Goodyear welt construction. In other words, they’ve really hit it out of the park. You can pre-order them now for $400.
