Though they specialize in bourbon, Wild Turkey’s whiskey expertise is a good deal more wide-ranging than just that single style. In fact, they’ve just added a new release to their premium Master’s Keep catalog: the Cornerstone Rye.
Aged between nine and eleven years, Cornerstone Rye is the oldest rye whiskey ever to come out of the Wild Turkey distillery, which would be noteworthy in itself. But it’s even more special thanks to the fact that this offering was hand-selected from the brand’s oldest #4 alligator char barrels by none other than their Master Distiller, Eddie Russell. This limited edition, once-in-a-lifetime offering is said to have aromas of vanilla, black pepper, and toasted rye; flavors of honey and baked apple; and a long-lasting finish of spice and oak. Only 16,000 bottles of this rye whiskey will ever be released with an MSRP of $175.
