With a more than 160-year history dating back to before the American Civil War, White’s Boots is unequivocally one of the most renowned heritage footwear brands in the country. And though the firm now utilizes modern materials and construction techniques, White’s continues individually hand-crafting each pair that leaves its Washington headquarters. A great example of this is White’s new Fire Hybrid Boot — or Model C295H — a full-length firefighting boot that was field tested for several years against the highest National Fire Protection Association standards before entering small-batch production.
The Fire Hybrid is made by hand using McKay Stitchdown construction and features an 8″ full-grain water-resistant leather upper with padded collar, fire-resistant Technora threading, a leather midsole and shank, an unstructured toe box, and Ortholite cushioned inserts. Built to last a lifetime, these NFPA-certified, American-made boots are also bestowed with military-grade 360 lugs and White’s new proprietary “Fire & Ice” white dot hybrid sole that was co-developed by Vibram. Produced in black or brown finishes, White’s Fire Hybrid Boots are available now, with a $450 MSRP.
