Weiss American Issue Field Watch
Los Angeles-based Weiss Watch Company has just made history. Introducing their American Issue Field Watch, the first timepiece in decades that features a US-made mechanical movement that’s manufactured and assembled in their studio right here in the United States. Well done Weiss, well done.
These handsome watches are limited to 50 timepieces and feature US-made CAL 1003 movement from Weiss’ new production line, gold plated and visible through an open case-back protected by sapphire crystal. Also, each timepiece is individually numbered with a matching serial number making the watch a unique tribute to American-made engineering. The dial design is made from naval brass and hand-painted in blue and silver, while the case is machined from 316L stainless steel with sapphire crystals on the front and back. It also comes with a burgundy strap that features tonal stitching by the Horween Leather Company. Every aspect of this piece is hand-made in the US with precision, right down to the California pine wood box in which each watch is delivered. They’re available now for pre-order, with a retail price of $2,500. [Purchase]
