Weineck Cobra 780 CUI Limited Edition

Dec 27, 2013

Ready to experience 1100 horsepower? Probably not. But that’s OK, since there are only 15 of these Weineck Cobras with 780 cubic inch V8s in the world.

The engine is custom-made by Donovan Engineering with Weineck Engineering pistons, crankshafts, connecting rods, and heads. The hood scoop breathes in much needed air when the Cobra surpasses 4,500 RPMs, and that’s pretty crucial when you’re threatening the speed of light with a 0-62mph speed of — brace yourself — 2.5 seconds. And getting up to 186mph from a standstill takes just 10 seconds. Produced by Weineck Engineering in Bad Gandersheim, Germany, this road rocket retails for about $746,000, but they’re all sold out. However there will be one available at the Paris Auction held by RM Auctions in February. [Purchase]
