Weber Rolls Out An App-Connected Lineup Of Premium Gas Grills

From automobiles to air purifiers, smartphone connectivity has just about every industry and product space over the last few years, and the grilling sector is no exception. Weber was an early adopter of this technology with its Weber Connect smart device that relayed temperatures and grilling info to a mobile app in realtime. And after already releasing a smart pellet grill, the American manufacturer has now rolled out two new ranges of premium gas grills that come preloaded with the Weber Connect feature.

The first model range is the all-new Spirit SX-315, which is a 32,000 BTU platform with LED gauges, stainless steel construction used throughout, and a total cooking area of 529 square inches. The new Genesis II lineup is comprised of the SX-335, the EX-335, and the EX-315 — all of which pack 39,000 BTUs and 669 square inches of total cooking space. This latter lineup is also more high-end with features like a digital display, Infinity ignitions, porcelain-enameled constructions, and backlit control knobs. Every model in both the Spirit and Genesis II ranges are offered in regular (liquid propane) and natural gas-powered versions. Slated for a release in the coming weeks, the Weber Spirit & Generis II Connected Smart Grills start at $799 and top out at $1,299.
