Back in 1994 Luca Bassani, an Italian businessman with a keen eye for design founded Wally Yachts, blending both contemporary and futuristic designs into their high-performance yachts for wealthy sportsmen and Bond villains alike. Their newest release, dubbed the Wally93, is a sleek cruiser-racer sailboat boasting a futuristic shape and hull lines.
Not only is the shape one to acknowledge but also the build itself. We’re talking a new carbon fiber construction that provides Wally93 with both reduced displacement and increased rigidity while out on the water. The deck is also minimal in design, while increased privacy in the salon and larger guest and crew cabins keep everyone at bay during extended voyages. Wally93 measures in at just under 93 feet in length, can accommodate up to six guests alongside two crew members, and boasts an upwind sail area of over 5400 square feet. Also, if you find yourself stuck in the doldrums, a 255 hp Steyr diesel engine gives the superyacht plenty of power to cruise on its own. The ’93 is currently scheduled to launch in the summer of 2018.
