VSSL Mini Cache

A survival cache, in case you aren’t a character from a James Patterson novel or an apocalypse prepper, is a collection of items kept hidden or stored in a normally inaccessible place for use at a future date should your normal situation go completely FUBAR. In short, it’s a secret stash of emergency gear. Typically its some kind of waterproof case that can be buried without risk of leaks or breaches. VSSL, however, has taken it upon themselves to equip theirs with a few legs up on your typical cache.

The Mini Cache, whose casing is made from highly durable aluminum, features a cylindrical silhouette intended to fit a number of the brand’s hockey-puck shaped prepackaged survival kits – from first aid to fire starting gear and everything in-between. The top is mounted with a compass, so if you do have to bug out, you won’t lose your way. And the easy-carry contraption, whose handle doubles as a carabiner clip, features an onboard LED flood-style lantern – which has two static and one SOS beacon mode – with included batteries. Take a step toward preparing yourself for the worst for just $65.[Purchase]
