These Hi-Fi Speakers Are Built From Special Cement Made To Optimize Audio

Back in 2017, Master & Dynamic released a novel concrete speaker design that used the unorthodox material to optimize sound while simultaneously delivering an incredibly unique appearance and high-end feel. And elite Swiss audio outfit, Vonschloo is now following in M&D’s footsteps with the release of its own concrete-constructed offering with the all-new L8 and L10 Loudspeakers.

These passive stereo floor speakers are made from a fiber-infused composite cement developed especially for the L8 and L10, and feature hardware and transducers created in collaboration with fellow Swiss outfit, Rowen. Measuring 17.7” x 12.2” x 38.38”, both models are made by hand in Switzerland from composite cement, wood, metal, and fabric, and feature the same housing, stands, and magnetic grill, though they pack different drivers and the L8 weighs in at 48.5lbs while the L10 tips the scales at 50.7lbs. In addition to offering absolutely stellar high-fidelity sound quality, the L8 and L10 boast incredibly distinct and modern aesthetics, making them pieces of art as much as sound equipment. Sold in pairs, the Vonschloo L8 and L10 Loudspeakers are available now with pricing set at approximately $8,890 for the L8 and $12,280 for the L10.
