Category: Rides

Over the past couple of years, Volvo worked diligently to build a fortified SUV for individuals who require adequate protection on the road. The Volvo XC90 Armored SUV combines the durability of a tank with the sleek style of your everyday transporter, providing a sophisticated ride for security forces, businessmen, and politicians.

This beastly vehicle boasts a certified VPAM VR8 rating, which means it has 360-degree ballistic resistance and explosive resistance. The resilient SUV features high-strength steel armor that’s around 10 mm thick and glass that’s up to 50 mm thick. All of the armor adds up to 3,086 lbs of extra weight on the XC90. And the SUV is barely distinguishable from the standard XC90, making for a discreet ride with a big trick up its sleeve. Volvo will also offer light armor for the XC60 T6 AWD Inscription and the XC90 T6 AWD Inscription. The XC90 Armored model is available to order now with deliveries commencing at the end of this year.
