Volkswagen I.D Vizzion Concept

Functioning as the newest addition to Volkswagen’s conceptual I.D. Family – slated to launch in 2020, the I.D Vizzion Concept is the first sedan in the lineup of vehicles featuring both long drive ranges and what Volkswagen calls a “digital chauffeur” – meaning the car will be completely autonomous.

In addition to a hands-free driving experience, each I.D Vizzion boasts an all-wheel-drive system, upwards of 302 horses at your disposal, and 413 miles of range. Not bad for an all-electric sedan if you ask us. Because of this, the car’s interior – accessible by suicide doors nonetheless – is absent of a driver’s seat, steering wheel, dash panel or even foot pedals. Instead, it’s operated solely based on voice and gesture control and detects the surrounding environment via inter-connected laser scanners, ultrasonic sensors, and both long and short distance radar sensors. Production is expected to begin in 2022.
