Dining al fresco (fancy way of saying ‘outside’) is nice, but unless a waiter spills a Sprite in your lap, it generally doesn’t offer much in the way of refreshment. But the Villa Escudero Resort of San Pablo City in the Philippines takes refreshment to a new level with each seat located right at the foot of the Labasin Falls waterfall. No shirt. No shows. No duh.

Diners munch on local cuisine at handmade bamboo tables while nature’s finest aqua runs over their feet. You can even get up from your seat as you wait for your entrée and lie up against the rushing water covered wall. The entire villa is set on an historical plantation filled with coconut trees and mountains, and it’s within a short distance of some character-filled rural villages.
