Victorinox’s Tinker SAK Celebrates The 50th Anniversary Of Apollo 11

Just a few days ago was the 50th anniversary of the historic Apollo 11 moon landing, as we sent men to the moon for the first time in history. To celebrate that epic event, the Victorinox Tinker Man on the Moon Special Edition 2019 Pocket Knife landed on shelves.

The commemorative Tinker features 12 tools, including a large blade, can opener, 3mm screwdriver, wire stripper, and tweezers. Its cellidor scales display images of the incredible moon landing, as well as the exact date and time of the moment: 20:17:40 UTC on July 20th. The stainless steel blade has a polispectral blade coat, which was first seen on Victorinox’s Spartan PS. Although the Tinker didn’t accompany any NASA astronauts on the Apollo 11 mission, Swiss Army knives have been on other flights since then. The Man on the Moon Tinker pocket knife is $96 and limited to1,969 pieces, so act fast if you’re looking to grab one for your collection.
