Originally unveiled over the summer of 2018 as the RMK E2, Verge Motorcycles has now revealed final specs and pricing and opened up pre-orders for its forthcoming TS electric motorcycle.
Named after the designer of the original concept, Teemu Saukkio, the proton-powered roadster sports an aggressive naked aesthetic with a street-fighter-style headlight, vented intake ports, an angular tank, battery cover, and tail section, and a sleek hubless rear-wheel design. A motor integrated into the hubless wheel puts down an enormous (claimed) 737.5ft-lbs of torque, placing it on par with some of the world’s fastest electric supercars like the Audio E-Tron Gran Turismo and Aston Martin Rapide E. The TS is capable of sub-4-second 0-60mph runs, though it’s top speed is electronically-limited to only 112mph. Able to receive a full re-juicing using a DC Fast charger in as little as 45 minutes, the TS has a city range of 186 miles (and 124 highway miles). Constructed around a lightweight aluminum frame, the Finnish-designed and built e-bike’s running gear is all of the top-shelf variety, with Ohlins suspension and Brembo brakes front and aft, Highsider LED lighting, and Pirelli Diablo Rosso 2 tires. The Verge TS is currently available for pre-order, with pricing set at $26,970
