Occasionally, you’re too hungry to wait for your charcoal grill to heat up to temperature. The Velocity Grill sets out to make cooking quicker by heating up from 0 to 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit in just five minutes.

Impressively, it heats up without any lighter fluid or coals; you simply use wood chunks and a crumpled piece of paper to start a fire. It uses a tiny fan right below the fuel chamber that draws air from the bottom and sends it upwards to fan the flames. This method creates a large enough fire in a short time so that the grill hits 1,000 degrees in virtually no time. There’s also a heat control dial that allows users to control the fan’s speed so that they’re always able to get the amount of flame they want to cook with.
