Over 30 years ago, The Simpsons made their debut on national television. Since then, the mischievous suburban family has become a mainstay within modern culture, providing generations of viewers with healthy doses of satire, comedy, and seasonal drama. Now, Vans has decided to honor the show’s three-decade run with a bespoke footwear capsule, dressing its Chukka Pro, Sk8-Hi, Slip-On, and Old Skool with various, noteworthy scenes from the series.
As stated above, the Vans x Simpsons footwear capsule pays homage to the show’s illustrious tenure with a handful of interesting visuals. From standout characters like Bart, Lisa, Itchy, and Scratchy, all the way to fan favorites like Mr. Burns, Ned Flanders, Nelson Muntz, Carl Carlson, and Krusty The Clown, consumers will finally be able to show their support for the series’ various personalities. Within, an “El-Barto”-themed Chukka, Itchy & Scratchy Old Skool, and Lisa-adorned Sk8-Hi make their debut, complementing a series of graphically-inclined t-shirts, bucket hats, backpacks, and bags adorned with similar iconography. Pricing for the collection’s various items has yet to be revealed, so we’ll have to wait for the capsule’s launch (on August 7th) for more information.
