The unison between Vans footwear and the industry’s leading technical fabrics isn’t new; over the past few years, we’ve seen various iterations of the company’s flagship shoes dressed in innovative fabrics like Gore-Tex and Ripstop. Now, the brand has decided to outfit two of its most iconic shoes with Cordura, a durable, bespoke fabric that’s resistant to the world’s most prevalent inhibitors.
The Vans 2019 Cordura collection encompasses two of the company’s most influential silhouettes: the Old Skool and Sk8-Hi. Each shoe will utilize the high-tenacity fiber, providing exceptional resistances against abrasions, tears, and scuffs while out-and-about. Suede and textile uppers work alongside the shoes’ reinforced toecaps, providing optimal support and flexibility throughout the life of the footwear. On their exterior, tasteful Cordura branding comes courtesy of a large, visually-appealing tag. The specialized lineup will make its debut in a variety of coveted colorways, including Light Desert Camo/White Asparagus, Azalea Pink, and Amberglow. Head to Vans’ website to pick up a pair for $65.
