The National Park Service Launches An App With Info On All 423 Locales

In an effort to keep with the times, the U.S. National Park Service has been offering free smartphone apps that show hiking trails, available park services, maps, and tour and accessibility information, among other features. And though these apps are no doubt incredibly useful to those visiting these celebrated American sites and landmarks, each national park has thus far had its own app, requiring one to download and store for than 30 separate apps on their phone or tablet if they wish to have access to the entire wealth of information.

The National Park Service has now remedied this with the release of a single app that contains the entire U.S.N.P.S. park network. The app still contains all the same vital information, though hugely ups the convenience factor. Engineered to serve as a digital guide, the app is available now, free of charge for both smartphones and tablets on all iOS and Android devices.
