When it comes to motorcycles, Vagabund Moto is a name that needs no introduction. From eye-catching airheads to 3D-printed dual-sports, the Austrian-based outfit has quickly emerged as one of the premier builders in the custom bike scene. But that’s not to say that Vagabund can only do motorcycles; on the contrary, its fabrication expertise extends to other applications as well.
Take this e-bike, for instance. Designed in collaboration with Germany’s Urwahn Bikes, it sees the brand’s Platzhirsch platform transformed into one of Vagabund’s signature two-tone creations. In practice, this means that its CrMo frame now features a raw steel finish at the rear with a coat of glossy black paint for the fork and front triangle. And as far as specs go, the Platzhirsch e-bike is one offering whose performance speaks for itself. That’s because with its downtube-integrated MAHLE ebikemotion battery and accompanying hub-mounted motor, it’s able to provide up to 30lb-ft of torque to the wheels and a maximum range topping out around 50 miles — all the while looking like any traditional pedal-powered bicycle. Riding on a set of beefy Continental Terra Speed tires, this is one commuter that’s oozing with the cool factor. You can buy it for $5,965.
