Cycling has always been about the marriage of man and machine. And in the 150 years since the modern bicycle form began to take shape, the envelope has been pushed to stretch the limits of how two wheels can move a human body. No stranger to unconventional frame design, Urwahn’s latest collaboration with carbon component manufacturer Schmolke is a dream ride in a sparkling copper finish.
Building off of their proven Chromoly steel frame that is 3D-printed to give a unique seattube-free design, the Urwahn platform is completely copper-coated for an appearance rarely seen on pedal-powered two-wheelers. Schmolke provides a complete carbon fiber cockpit mated to a mix of SRAM Force and Red controls, giving this steed a plush riding experience balanced with ultra-tight compliance. The carbon wheelset and internal cable routing provide wind cutting aerodynamics while providing a smooth aesthetic, making sure the Urwahn x Schmolke looks as fast at a stop as it does while burning laps at the track.
