Shovels inherently provide some nice self defense properties, so could you imagine what one designed for specifically for self defense purposes would be capable of? United Cutlery decided to do just that with the M48 Kommando Tactical Shovel.

This shovel was designed to serve double duty, helping you ward off potential assailants while also being able to easily dig a ditch. The handle is crafted from a nearly indestructible injection molded nylon, complete with fiberglass and nylon reinforcement for added strength and durability. The tempered 2Cr13 stainless steel shovel head has been sharpened, and comes with a partially serrated edge on one side with a concave chopping edge found on the other. It’s portable and light, making it perfect for camping and outdoor excursions in general, and the hard, black oxide coating will help keep it in tip top shape for years to come. It also comes with a reinforced nylon belt pouch for easy transport. [Purchase]
