Under Armour’s ‘UA Trek’ Collection Takes Urban Utility To The Trails

Under Armour has always been a staple within the athletic realm, and over the past year, the brand has made a drastic push into other segments of the industry with a gratuitous amount of innovative outerwear and technical garments. Now, they’re looking to delve even further into the outdoor realm with the second release of the popular “UA Trek” line — an assortment of new footwear and performance apparel options.

The company’s newest “UA Trek” release strikes a perfect balance between modern style and athletically-inclined properties, introducing a number of silhouettes that have been crafted to enhance and amplify performance in a variety of environments, genres, and applications. Within, you’ll find various enhancements to the Under Armour’s Valsetz, Valsetz Trek, and HOVR Phantom boot; the latter of which has been outfitted with a zero-gravity HOVR cushioning system that helps to shield the wearer’s foot from impact. The Phantom has also adopted UA’s Storm tech, allowing it to shed water from its 3D molded midfoot panel and warp-knit upper, without sacrificing breathability. To accent the collection of footwear, the brand has also introduced a formidable zip-fleece garment that calls upon Polartec’s Power Fill — an innovative 100-percent post-consumer recycled insulation system — to provide unparalleled wind and weather resistance while traversing the urban cityscape, or the mountain trail. The collection is slated to launch on Under Armour’s website on December 6 starting at $55.
