Under Armour Engineers A Highly-Breathable Face Mask For Athletes

While face masks are a vital piece of equipment in the fight against the ongoing global pandemic, the vast majority of existing mask-offerings make for a rather stuffy and uncomfortable breathing experience. Knowing this, Under Armour set out to engineer a new mask from the ground up that would allow athletes to freely breath when training or running, while still being protected from virus-spreading germs.

Said to offer absolutely stellar airflow, UA’s new mask is comprised of a multi-layered design consisting of a polyester exterior layer backed by the activewear brand’s UA Iso-Chill technology, a middle layer composed of a breathable open-cell foam that allows air to pass through while blocking moisture and sweat, and an inner-most soft nylon and spandex fabric layer – the same material used on the mask’s ear loops. And, while it was designed for athletes, UA’s mask seemingly works as a great mask for everyday use, as well. Meeting WHO recommendations for fabric masks, the UA SPORTSMASK is available for pre-order now in four sizes (S/M, M/L, L/XL, XL/XXL) with pricing set at $30 and shipping scheduled to commence in mid-July.
