This 312′ Superyacht Has An IMAX Theater, Helipad, & Military-Grade Security

As the world’s wealthiest 1% continues to get richer, the superyacht sector has received an enormous influx in business, with shipbuilders constantly looking to outdo their competition and raise the bar in this immensely-exclusive industry. And while many outfits have focused on bolstering luxury or comfort, Germany’s T. Fotiadis Design has opted to take things in a different direction, penning a full-size superyacht with a military-grade, state-of-the-art security system.

Christened the Ultra2, the 311.68’ vessel has accommodations for 14 guests and 26 crew members—the latter of which have all been specially trained by UK defense firm, Romeo Foxtrot in military defense protocols. Furthermore, the ship is equipped with a custom safe room built by PDP Projects, as well as a “diplomatic-grade” conference room. In addition to its world-class security, this floating Ft. Knox also boasts all the typical bells and whistles one would expect on a 300’+ superyacht, including a tender bay, helicopter pads, a massive swimming pool, multiple jacuzzis, a spiral grand central staircase, and even an IMAX theatre. A hybrid propulsion powertrain pushes the vessel at speeds of up to 16 knots. To see more of this ambitious project, you can check out the Berlin-based designer’s website linked below.
