You may have never heard of Ultima before today, but we imagine you’ll never forget the name once you finish reading this. The British auto maker may not be a household name, but they’ve been producing drool worthy supercars for well over 20 years now, and they look to keep the namesake going strong with the Ultima Evolution Supercar.
Aesthetically, it may look a bit familiar, and that’s because its chassis and body are based on the same Lee Noble designs used on both the Ultima Sports and Ultima GTR that came before it. But that’s where the similarities stop. Ultima upgraded nearly every part of this vehicle from the high quality paint and carbon-fiber components to the upgraded interior and LED lighting. The real magic comes from under the hood though, where a Chevrolet V8 crate engine comes in 15 different formats ranging from 350 horsepower all the way up to 1,020 horsepower, and it gets even better. The 2-door weighs just 2,094 pounds, which even on the entry level option gives this thing one of the best power-to-weight ratios on the market. The top level model will sprint to 60 mph in just 2.3 seconds on its way to a 9.2-second quarter mile, and a a top speed exceeding 240 mph. Even the entry level offering gets to 60 mph from a dig in 3.1 seconds. Long story short, expect this thing to break all sorts of records in the near future. [Purchase]
